A well-established law firm based in Santa Ana, CA is seeking a qualified attorney licensed in the state of Connecticut to support and co-lead a high-volume litigation team handling debtor representation in consumer collection matters. This remote position requires a strong foundation in civil litigation and the ability to manage caseloads across multiple jurisdictions. The ideal candidate will be comfortable navigating fast-paced legal environments, guiding legal staff, and ensuring compliance with procedural requirements.

Duties:

• Represent clients in state-level civil litigation matters involving debtor-creditor disputes

• Manage a caseload of collection cases from inception through resolution

• Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, and legal correspondence

• Participate in court hearings, both virtual and in-person when necessary

• Provide oversight and strategic direction to junior attorneys and support staff

• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure efficient case management and compliance with local court rules

• Maintain accurate and organized records within case management systems

Requirements:

• Active law license in the state of Connecticut

• Demonstrated experience in civil litigation, particularly in creditor-debtor law

• Comfortable handling a high volume of cases

• Strong analytical, organizational, and written/oral communication skills

• Experience supervising or mentoring legal staff is preferred

• Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining responsiveness

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Bar admission in Connecticut (required)

• Additional state bar admissions are a plus

Skills:

• Proficiency in legal research and drafting

• Familiarity with civil procedure and state court systems

• Excellent case and time management abilities

• Strong interpersonal skills for client and staff interaction

• Technologically adept, with experience using case management software and remote collaboration tools
