A law firm is seeking an experienced Business Litigation Attorney to join its team in Jacksonville, Florida. This role involves handling a diverse array of complex and challenging business and commercial litigation cases for non-insurance clients. The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of experience in business/commercial litigation, with a preference for candidates experienced in product liability and complex torts. Location:

• Jacksonville, Florida

Duties:

• Research and prepare legal briefs, opinions, and memorandums.
• Evaluate new cases and provide litigation strategies for claims.
• Prepare pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
• Take depositions and conduct examinations under oath.
• Litigate pre-trial motions.
• Represent clients in mediation and trial, including jury trials.
• Manage case files and ensure adherence to client and court deadlines.

Requirements:

• Member of the Florida Bar (required).
• Licensed to practice law in the state of Florida (required).
• 3-6 years of experience in business/commercial litigation (required).
• Experience with breach of contract disputes, fraud, shareholder disputes, trade secret litigation, and consumer protection statutes (preferred).
• Experience with complex torts, including product liability cases resulting in catastrophic injury or wrongful death (preferred).
• Experience in both pre-trial and trial litigation.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Florida Bar membership (required).
• Membership in Middle, Northern, and Southern Districts (preferred).

Skills:

• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Ability to develop and implement effective litigation strategies.
• Proficient in preparing and presenting legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and discovery.
• Strong deposition and trial experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently.
