Job Overview:

Duties:
Represent lenders in mortgage and mezzanine commercial real estate loan transactions.
Draft and negotiate loan agreements, including those related to preferred equity, repo facilities, and subscription lines.
Work closely with clients and provide legal advice on complex finance structures.
Manage significant portions of transactions, taking on substantial responsibility and client-facing roles.
Collaborate with colleagues on real estate finance matters, ensuring smooth execution of deals.
Requirements:
3-5 years of experience in real estate finance, specifically with mortgage and mezzanine loans, preferred equity, repo facilities, and subscription lines.
Strong experience drafting and negotiating loan agreements.
Ability to work in leanly staffed teams with early responsibility and client interaction.
Excellent academic credentials and law firm experience.
Admitted to the New York Bar.
Education:
J.D. from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
Admission to the bar in New York (or eligibility to waive in).
Skills:
In-depth knowledge of commercial real estate finance transactions, including mortgage and mezzanine loans.
Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently and manage complex transactions with minimal supervision.
