Job Overview

A respected law firm based in Wilmington, DE, is seeking a Junior Associate to join its structured finance group. This hybrid role focuses on complex financial products, including derivatives and related regulatory frameworks. The ideal candidate brings several years of specialized experience in structured transactions, OTC derivatives, and documentation under key industry agreements. This is an opportunity to contribute to a collaborative and high-caliber legal team advising sophisticated market participants.

Duties

• Draft and negotiate a wide range of derivative documentation, including:

  • ISDA Master Agreements and related schedules

  • Credit Support Annexes (CSA)

  • Confirmations and transaction-specific agreements

• Advise clients on regulatory protocols involving ISDA, Dodd-Frank, and other frameworks

• Support cross-functional deal teams in structured finance matters involving securitizations, swaps, and collateral arrangements

• Interpret and apply financial regulations to transactional structures

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external clients to advance time-sensitive matters

• Conduct legal research, provide strategic recommendations, and manage workflow on complex financial instruments

Requirements

• 3-5 years of hands-on legal experience in structured finance or derivatives

• Proven experience with documentation and negotiation under the ISDA framework

• Familiarity with U.S. regulatory compliance, including Dodd-Frank-related protocols

• Prior experience at a large or nationally recognized law firm preferred

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the State of Delaware
