Location:

Duties:

• Handle a diverse caseload focused on municipal and civil defense matters

• Conduct depositions, court appearances, and client meetings from the outset

• Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda

• Perform legal research and prepare case analyses

• Assist with discovery and case strategy development

• Communicate with clients, co-counsel, and opposing counsel

• Participate in litigation planning and team strategy sessions

Requirements:

• Admission to the Michigan State Bar

• Strong interest in public entity defense and high-stakes litigation

• Willingness to take ownership of case responsibilities

• Ability to manage a caseload of 10–15 active files effectively

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in the state of Michigan

Skills:

• Excellent legal writing and analytical skills

• Strong research abilities and attention to detail

• Effective verbal communication and courtroom presence

• Ability to think strategically and respond proactively to case developments

• Strong organizational and time-management capabilities
