Litigation and Trial Attorney
The candidate will be working collaboratively as part of a team. Representing clients and businesses in civil litigation and other legal proceedings. Drafting and filing briefs, motions, and other necessary judicial pleadings. Interviewing and deposing witnesses and further facilitates discovery process. Supervise and direct mediation sessions and offer effective legal advice. Managing multiple clients, cases and legal activities that carry varying deadlines. Collaborating with clients and their advisors to develop strategies designed to meet specific goals. Business development, including professional organization involvement and writing. Supervising paralegals, staff, and team members as your role progresses. Superior verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate complex matters concisely and effectively in oral and written form. Excellent interpersonal and client service skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Should have a Bachelor’s degree and Juris Doctor from an accredited law school. Successful passing of the bar exam. Active member in good standing of the Bar or currently eligible to become licensed, to practice law in Nebraska. Must have 2-5 years of relevant experience, such as motion practice, discovery dispute and trial preparation along with a strong interest in litigation. Strong work ethic, drive, keen attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a small team environment. Should preferably have 5-7 years of specific litigation/trial experience. Excellent academic and professional credentials.
