Job Overview:
A highly regarded employment litigation firm is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join its legal team in San Francisco. This in-person role offers a unique opportunity for attorneys to gain hands-on experience at all stages of litigation, from intake through trial. Candidates will have the autonomy to manage their own cases while receiving mentorship from seasoned trial attorneys.

Location:

• San Francisco, CA

Duties:

• Handle employment law cases from intake to resolution

• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and trial documents

• Take and defend depositions

• Regularly appear in court and argue motions

• Maintain consistent client communication and develop case strategies

• Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations

• Assist with trial preparation and serve as second chair during trials when applicable

Requirements:

• 1–5 years of civil litigation experience (employment law preferred)

• Ability to manage cases independently while working collaboratively

• Strong attention to detail, organization, and a commitment to high-quality client service

• Trial preparation experience is a plus

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active member in good standing with the California State Bar (required)

Skills:

• Excellent legal research and writing capabilities
