Job Overview:
A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney for its Irvine, CA office. This hybrid position is ideal for candidates with at least 3 years of experience in civil litigation, particularly in the areas of insurance defense, public entity, and commercial disputes. Location:

• Irvine, California

Duties:

• Manage all aspects of complex civil litigation matters, including:

  • Drafting pleadings, discovery, and dispositive motions

  • Taking and defending depositions

  • Preparing witnesses and presenting at court appearances

• Handle matters involving insurance defense, public entity litigation, and commercial or construction-related disputes

• Collaborate with attorneys across multiple offices in a team-oriented environment

• Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies tailored to client objectives

• Communicate effectively with clients, courts, and internal stakeholders

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in complex civil litigation

• Prior experience in insurance litigation, public entity defense, and/or construction litigation preferred

• Demonstrated ability to draft and argue dispositive motions

• Strong work ethic and motivation to work both independently and in collaboration

• Open to remote mentorship and communication with team members in other offices

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

• Strong academic credentials preferred

• Judicial clerkship or law review experience is a plus

Certifications:

• Active Bar license in the state of California (required)

• Good standing with the California State Bar

Skills:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Strong legal research, analysis, and advocacy skills

• Proficient in handling motion practice and depositions

• High level of professionalism and client service orientation

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage deadlines
