Job Overview:
A leading law firm is seeking a Project Attorney to join its Insurance and Reinsurance team. This is a remote position with flexible hours. The role involves providing support for pre-underwriting risk assessments, claim management, and coverage opinions, primarily focused on professional liability risks in the U.S. Ideal candidates will have a background in insurance coverage, medical malpractice, or mass torts.

Duties:

• Assist with risk assessments, claims management, and coverage opinions in the insurance and reinsurance sectors

• Review and analyze complex liability and coverage issues

• Prepare clear, concise, and well-organized written work product

• Support the team in advocacy, research, and negotiation related to insurance matters

• Work with e-discovery software for case management

• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to provide high-quality legal services

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant legal experience

• Strong analytical and written communication skills

• Experience with insurance coverage, medical malpractice, or mass torts

• Ability to present complex issues clearly and effectively

• Experience with e-discovery software

• Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive with a strong work ethic

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Licensed in the state of residence

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Bar membership in the state where the candidate resides

Skills:

• Strong research, writing, and advocacy skills

• Familiarity with e-discovery tools and processes

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
