Duties:

  • Manage a diverse civil litigation caseload.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and draft comprehensive legal documents.
  • Engage in all aspects of discovery processes.
  • Take and defend depositions effectively.
  • Interact professionally with expert witnesses.
  • Prepare for and attend court proceedings.
  • Handle motion practices, including drafting, filing, and arguing motions.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys to strategize on complex legal issues.
  • Provide regular updates to clients on case progress.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal standards and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice law in Ohio and Michigan (strongly preferred).
  • 1-3 years of civil litigation experience in state and federal courts.
  • Demonstrated experience in handling discovery, depositions, expert interactions, and motion practice.
  • Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proven track record of litigation success and strong advocacy skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • High professional ethics and personal integrity.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Must be a member in good standing of the bar in at least one state. Dual licensure in Ohio and Michigan is preferred.
