A well-established immigration law firm in San Antonio, TX is currently seeking an Associate Immigration Attorney with a strong passion for client advocacy and legal excellence. This position offers significant opportunities for career growth, mentorship, and hands-on experience in both detained and non-detained immigration matters. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing their own caseload, collaborating with legal assistants and fellow attorneys, and appearing before immigration courts and agencies.

Represent detained and non-detained clients in removal proceedings before Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals
Conduct strategic consultations and develop legal solutions for prospective and current clients
Prepare and file a variety of immigration applications including:
Removal defense petitions
Family-based immigration cases
Humanitarian and other USCIS applications
Perform legal research and submit briefs in support of immigration claims
Manage a full caseload independently while collaborating with legal staff
Review application packets for completeness and accuracy
Visit detention centers for client intakes and interviews
Prepare clients and witnesses for USCIS and court appearances
Engage with law enforcement, prosecutors, and community-based organizations regarding immigration issues and policy changes
1 to 4 years of experience in Immigration Law
Experience representing clients before EOIR and in family-based immigration matters
Demonstrated ability to manage and advance a caseload independently
Willingness to work with and support a collaborative legal team
Spanish language proficiency preferred
Familiarity with immigration case management systems is a plus
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Active license to practice law in any U.S. state
In good standing with the state bar
Strong oral and written advocacy
Case strategy development and legal problem-solving
Client communication and interview preparation
Legal writing, including motion and brief drafting
Bilingual communication skills (preferred but not required)
Attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines
