General Practice Attorney

Profile

A law firm seeks an experienced Attorney for its Wheat Ridge, Colorado location. The firm specializes in a variety of practice areas including domestic law, estate planning, probate, civil litigation, real estate, and entity formations. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience and be highly detail-oriented, able to independently manage a caseload with minimal supervision. The role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive, client-focused environment with the assistance of experienced staff, including a Paralegal and Legal Assistant.

Duties:

• Manage a diverse caseload, including matters related to domestic law, estate planning, probate, civil litigation, real estate, and entity formation.
• Provide high-quality legal representation with a strong focus on client relationships and satisfaction.
• Independently handle client consultations, case preparation, and legal strategy development.
• Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and contracts.
• Communicate effectively with clients, maintaining a professional and supportive relationship.
• Collaborate with support staff, including Paralegals and Legal Assistants, to ensure smooth case management.
• Utilize Office 365 and Outlook for document management and communication.
• Attend hearings, mediations, and trials as necessary.

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of experience in domestic law, estate planning, probate, civil litigation, or related practice areas.
• Ability to manage a caseload with minimal supervision and oversight.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Office 365, including Outlook.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating with a team.
• Ability to manage client relationships effectively.

Education:

• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in Colorado with no disciplinary history.

Skills:

• Strong legal research and writing abilities.
• Experience with real estate law, entity formations, and general legal practice.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks.
• Proficiency in Office 365 and Outlook features.
• Familiarity with billing and client management software (training provided).
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
