Duties:

• Provide legal advice on estate planning strategies, asset protection, and wealth transfer.
• Draft, review, and execute legal documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
• Administer trusts and estates, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and client goals.
• Collaborate with the firm’s business, real estate, and litigation teams to provide comprehensive legal solutions for clients.
• Manage estate settlements, including probate proceedings and trust distributions.
• Maintain and build strong client relationships through effective communication and personalized legal strategies.
• Stay updated on the latest developments in estate planning laws and apply them to client cases.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in trust and estate planning, administration, and settlement.
• Strong work ethic with the ability to handle multiple cases with a high level of detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team while independently managing client matters.
• Creative problem-solving skills and a passion for client service.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of New York.

Skills:

• Expertise in drafting complex estate planning documents and managing estate administration.
• Proficiency in trust and estate law, including knowledge of tax implications and asset protection strategies.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate legal concepts to clients clearly and concisely.
• Familiarity with real estate, business structures, and financial planning is a plus.
