Duties

• Perform comprehensive legal research and interpret laws, rulings, and legal articles for case preparation.

• Manage a docket of litigation matters from initial pleadings through resolution.

• Analyze case files, legal documents, and factual background to formulate legal strategies.

• Participate in deposition preparation and conduct depositions of parties and witnesses.

• Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and settlement negotiations.

• Collaborate with internal teams on discovery, document review, and case strategy.

• Ensure ongoing compliance with procedural deadlines and court mandates.

Requirements

• Active license to practice law in Illinois; dual licensure in Missouri is strongly preferred.

• Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience, ideally in toxic tort, product liability, or related defense work.

• Proven ability to work independently while managing multiple case files.

• Courtroom and deposition experience required.

• Excellent legal research, writing, and case analysis capabilities.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the Illinois Bar (required).

• Missouri Bar admission (preferred or must be eligible for prompt admission).
