A law firm is seeking a skilled Civil Litigation Attorney with 7-10 years of experience to join its insurance defense and litigation practice. The successful candidate will handle complex cases in a variety of legal areas, including employment law, torts, contracts, and facilities-related matters. Location:

Duties:

• Handle litigation matters from inception to resolution, including prosecuting and defending lawsuits.

• Work on cases involving employment law, torts, contracts, facilities, premises issues, and other civil litigation matters.

• Draft complex pleadings and conduct legal research and analysis.

• Represent clients in trial, mediation, and arbitration proceedings.

• Develop creative legal arguments based on case law and statutes.

• Provide strategic advice and guidance to clients.

• Manage cases, ensuring deadlines and objectives are met.

Requirements:

• 7-10 years of litigation experience.

• California Bar license in good standing.

• Trial experience is preferred.

• Experience in mediation and arbitration.

• Strong proficiency in drafting pleadings and conducting legal research.

• Ability to develop creative and strategic legal arguments.

• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.

• Willingness to handle cases of all sizes, from small disputes to major litigation.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the California State Bar.

Skills:

• Expertise in civil litigation, particularly in insurance defense.

• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.

• Trial, mediation, and arbitration experience.

• Ability to think strategically and creatively.
