Job Title: Civil Litigation Attorney
Job Location: San Diego, CA
A San Diego-based law firm is seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Attorney through a legal recruitment partner. The ideal candidate will have strong litigation skills and be capable of managing complex legal matters with minimal oversight. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a collaborative legal team handling a diverse civil litigation caseload, from case intake to resolution, with involvement in training initiatives and client interaction.
Manage civil litigation cases through all phases, from assignment to final resolution
Draft pleadings, legal memoranda, and formal correspondence with a focus on clarity and precision
Handle all aspects of discovery, including taking and defending depositions, managing filings, and responding to motions
Independently represent clients in live and telephonic court appearances, hearings, and mediations
Conduct internal and client-focused training sessions to share legal insights and updates
Maintain direct contact with clients to provide legal advice, updates, and strategic recommendations
2 to 5 years of relevant experience in civil litigation within California jurisdiction
Must be an active member of the California Bar in good standing
Admission to all Federal District Courts in California or willingness to obtain such admission
Strong legal research and writing skills
Ability to manage multiple cases independently and effectively
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Active license to practice law in California
Federal court admission in California preferred
High proficiency in legal analysis and case strategy
Exceptional written and oral communication abilities
Strong organizational and time-management capabilities
Proficiency in legal software and standard office technology

A hybrid schedule is available following an initial 90-day in-office training period (2-3 days onsite weekly, subject to management approval)
