Litigation Associate

Profile

A law firm seeks a skilled litigation attorney to join its San Jose, CA, office. This role offers the chance to spearhead complex trust and estate disputes, manage a personal caseload, and advance within a dynamic practice group.

Duties

• Lead all phases of trust and probate litigation, from complaint drafting through trial and resolution

• Oversee discovery processes, including written responses and document productions

• Prepare for and conduct depositions, hearings, and motions practice

• Coordinate case strategy with senior counsel and support staff

• Manage matter budgets, calendars, and client communications throughout each engagement

Requirements

• 2–4 years of hands-on litigation experience, preferably in trust & estate disputes

• Proven ability to run matters independently, from inception through resolution

• Strong legal research and briefing capabilities

• Demonstrated skill in deposition preparation and courtroom advocacy

• Active membership in the California Bar in good standing

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Admission to practice in the State of California
