Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide expert legal advice on insurance coverage issues, including professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers insurance policies.
• Analyze and interpret complex insurance policies and coverage disputes, offering strategic guidance to clients.
• Represent clients in litigation involving insurance coverage matters, including drafting and filing legal documents, motions, and pleadings.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research and prepare detailed reports, memoranda, and correspondence.
• Participate in depositions, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
• Stay informed about changes in insurance law and industry trends to provide current and relevant legal advice.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals to develop case strategies and prepare for hearings and trials.
• Manage a diverse caseload effectively, ensuring timely progression of cases and adherence to deadlines.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance coverage and commercial litigation.
• Extensive knowledge of insurance coverage issues, including professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers insurance policies.
• Proven track record of handling complex insurance coverage disputes and litigation.
• Excellent academic credentials, including a JD from an accredited law school.
• Demonstrated superior research and writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Virginia.
