Job Title: Associate Attorney

Job Overview:

A law firm located in Decatur, GA, is seeking a skilled Litigation Associate with at least three years of experience handling matters involving transportation, trucking, and general insurance defense. This mid-sized, multi-office firm has grown organically over the years while preserving a close-knit and agile environment. The position offers a flexible hybrid schedule—three days in-office and two days remote- and is ideal for someone looking to work on complex litigation matters for high-exposure clients in a supportive and forward-moving team.

Duties:

• Represent corporate and insured clients in court proceedings and before regulatory bodies

• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and related legal documentation

• Formulate strategic litigation approaches in collaboration with partners and clients

• Participate in case evaluations, negotiations, and settlement discussions

• Manage all phases of litigation from investigation to trial preparation

• Maintain consistent communication and detailed updates to clients regarding case milestones

• Ensure compliance with all relevant court procedures, rules, and ethical guidelines

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in litigation related to insurance defense, transportation, or trucking

• Proficiency with Georgia civil litigation practices and court systems

• Demonstrated ability to independently manage files and deadlines

• Adept at developing litigation strategies tailored to client needs

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active Bar membership in Georgia (mandatory)
