Job Title: Intake Attorney (Immigration)

Job Overview:
A respected law firm in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a motivated Associate Immigration Intake Attorney to support its growing immigration practice. This role provides an excellent entry point for licensed attorneys to gain experience in client-facing legal evaluations and strategy development, especially within the humanitarian and family-based immigration sectors. The position focuses on early-stage legal assessments, team collaboration, and active engagement with clients and intake personnel.

Duties:

• Monitor active legal inquiries through internal case management tools

• Evaluate intake documentation to determine potential immigration solutions

• Identify eligible forms of relief under immigration law for prospective clients

• Recommend tailored legal services and strategic direction based on case needs

• Communicate directly with prospective clients to address legal concerns and process questions

• Engage with current clients to discuss legal avenues beyond existing agreements

• Collaborate closely with intake and sales personnel, providing legal input and feedback

• Guide and supervise the work of intake paralegals and remote administrative staff

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of experience in immigration law

• Demonstrated ability to manage legal evaluations and intake processes

• Strong interpersonal and client engagement skills

• Proficiency in identifying relief across a range of immigration matters (e.g., family petitions, humanitarian applications, EOIR proceedings, and detained cases)

• Familiarity with legal tech platforms and case management systems preferred

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is strongly preferred

• Collaborative mindset with a commitment to supporting colleagues and firm initiatives

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

• Admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

Certifications:

• Active Bar membership in good standing

Skills:

• Legal analysis and strategic thinking specific to immigration law

• Clear and empathetic communication with clients from diverse backgrounds

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize under deadline pressure
