Job Title: Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A well-established law firm in Atlanta, GA, is seeking a motivated Litigation Associate with 1-5 years of legal experience to join its insurance defense practice. Duties:

• Evaluate newly assigned litigation files to determine strategy, set budgets, and establish next steps

• Draft pleadings and supervise related support staff for discovery preparation

• Prepare written discovery responses and coordinate comprehensive document productions

• Attend and participate in depositions, hearings, and other litigation milestones

• Communicate findings and updates through structured reports and litigation summaries

• Conduct settlement discussions, including securing required authority and finalizing agreements

• Collaborate closely with paralegals and legal assistants throughout the litigation lifecycle

• Maintain compliance with internal benchmarks tied to membership or partnership track progression

Requirements:

• Active license to practice law in the state of Georgia

• 1-5 years of litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense or related practice areas

• 1-3 years of prior insurance defense experience preferred.

• Familiarity with courtroom procedures, case evaluation, and negotiation strategies

• Ability to manage multiple litigation files and deadlines with minimal oversight

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active Bar membership in Georgia

Skills:

• Strong verbal and written communication proficiency

• Excellent attention to detail and legal research skills

• Competency with the Microsoft Office Suite

• Adaptability in managing case logistics and litigation strategy

• Strong time management and independent problem-solving skills
