Associate Attorney needed for Saint Louis office

Job Overview:
A nationally recognized creditors' rights law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney licensed in the State of Missouri to handle legal matters and court appearances in and around the St. Louis metropolitan area. This position is remote but requires travel for court appearances and occasional overnight stays. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, comfortable with a high-volume caseload, and experienced in courtroom advocacy.

Location:

• St. Louis, Missouri

Duties:

• Prepare for and attend court appearances within a reasonable travel distance

• Coordinate court coverage and file appropriate documentation when personal appearance is not feasible

• Draft, review, and file mid-litigation motions and responses

• Prepare for and participate in trials and arbitrations, including potential overnight travel

• Communicate professionally with consumers, opposing counsel, employers, and clients to resolve legal matters

• Manage a high-volume caseload with consistent attention to deadlines and accuracy

Requirements:

• Licensed and in good standing to practice law in the State of Missouri

• Ability and willingness to travel to court within the state; overnight travel required occasionally

• Reliable transportation and ability to appear in court on time consistently

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills

• Ability to manage a fast-paced workload with minimal supervision

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active Missouri Bar license

• Additional licensure in other states (e.g., IA, OR, IL, NY, NE, ID, CA, WA, AK, HI, NV) is a plus

Skills:

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities

• Courtroom experience and confidence in litigation settings

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal practice tools

• Professionalism in communicating with clients, courts, and opposing parties
